KAYAK EXCURSION

During your visit, admire impact rocks (impactites) that bear witness to the extraordinary power of the meteorite that impacted the territory and discover the authenticity and immensity of the landscape. Set out on a kayak excursion from Uapishka Station and explore the centre of the 4th largest astrobleme in the world in terms of depth and volume. Once on site, take in breathtaking scenery, including Memory Bay.

FISHING

For many outdoors enthusiasts, the Manicouagan Reservoir is a favouritefishing spot! Species found in the sector include landlocked salmon (ouananiche),  pike, lake trout, whitefish and brook trout.

The Reservoir usually melts between the last week of May and the first week of June. For information on fishing periods, please follow this link: https://peche.faune.gouv.qc.ca/regpec/fr/info/reglements?Id_Zone=2652.

Uapishka Station is not an outfitter and offers no fishing services. However, people are welcome to fish on their own while staying at the Station.
