Located at the food of the Uapishka (Groulx) Mountains, in a protected bay giving access to the Manicouagan reservoir, the site lends itself to many sporting and tourist activities, such as mountain hiking and exploring the territory’s many exceptional elements, including archaeological remains, the Manic hydroelectric complex and Daniel-Johnson dam, big rivers, the astrobleme and impact geomorphology (impactite), the territory’s designation by UNESCO, etc.

It’s also worth noting that Uapishka Station provides a safety control station adequately equipped for mountain rescue measures (communications, helipad, first aid).
