Processus pour l’obtention d’un permis de recherche
The process to obtain research authorization depends on the territory. If necessary, do not hesitate to refer to the interactive map of the Uapishka Station sector.
Uapishka Biodiversity Reserve
Research projects conducted in the Uapishka biodiversity reserve must comply with the Activity Framework for Biodiversity Reserves and Aquatic Reserves and the Régime d’activités prévu au plan de conservation de la réserve de biodiversité Uapishka.
Research activities are authorized on the territory of a biodiversity reserve where they are not likely to cause substantial damage or disturbance to the natural environment” In addition, no permit is required for research activities such as botanical inventories or ornithology activities if there are under fifteen people on site.
The research activities requiring authorization are the following:

“Research activities requiring small-scale sampling or soil work”)

“[Research] activities […] likely to directly or significantly damage or disturb the natural environment, in particular because of the nature or size of the samples taken or the invasive character of the method or process used […]”

Research activities such as botanical inventories or ornithology activities requiring a team of more than 15 people present on site at the same time
To obtain authorization, please complete the Application form for authorization for projects carried out in an aquatic or biodiversity reserve and send it to the regional branch of the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) (North Shore). Louis-Babel Ecological Reserve
All the research projects to be conducted in the ecological reserves in Quebec must be previously approved by the MELCCFP.
To obtain authorization, please complete the Application form for authorization for projects carried out in an aquatic or biodiversity reserve available under the “Biodiversity” tab on the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques website and send it to the MELCCFP by email or standard mail at this address:
